# FAQ

## What is Deadtiles?

A free multiplayer zombie survival game you play in the browser. You scavenge, trade, and choose a side in quarantined Ashen County, a shared world with other players.

## How do I play?

Open [play.deadtiles.com](https://play.deadtiles.com) and sign in with Phantom or Solflare. The Android app can also sign in with Seed Vault. The first session starts in Birchport Hospital. See [How to play](/deadtiles-docs/start/play.md).

## Is it free?

Yes. You do not buy the game to enter the county.

## How do I get my health back?

It does not come back on its own. Use rags, a bandage, or alcohol, take multivitamins, or stand beside a lit fireplace or furnace. Doctor Clark at Birchport Hospital fully heals you for 50 banknotes. See [Survival](/deadtiles-docs/stay-alive/survival.md).

## Where is it safe?

Birchport's streets, and the inside of faction buildings, do not allow drawn weapons. Outside town, other players can kill you and take what you are carrying. See [Birchport](/deadtiles-docs/the-county/birchport.md).

## What happens when I die?

Everything you carried stays on your corpse for one hour. Anyone can loot it. You come back with basic supplies. Skills and standing stay. See [Death](/deadtiles-docs/stay-alive/death.md).

## What are Deadmarks?

Banknotes spend in Ashen County. Ship them east and one note becomes one Deadmark (DMRK). The day's shipments share one pool, better Ashen standing gets a larger share, and 250 notes is the minimum. See [Deadmarks](/deadtiles-docs/money/deadmarks.md).

## Can I work for more than one faction?

Yes, for now. Standing is tracked separately. Later jobs will force a choice. Attacking or stealing drops you a full level with that faction, and Exiled does not recover. See [Factions](/deadtiles-docs/the-county/factions.md).

## Where do I read this in game?

Open the Journal and the Field Guide. It is the short version of this book.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://deadtiles.gitbook.io/deadtiles-docs/money/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
